Arleen from Lewiston, Idaho, was my first international customer. There is autumn art fair every year and this time she decided to take my paintings to it. I was surprised to be there and infinitely happy when found out that my paintings got a few ribbons.
Like the harvest festival, the results of fruitful work are summed up at the fair, people are enjoying a good harvest, making barbeque and other delicious things, treating everyone, and combining it with an art exhibition. Everyone can become participant of art fair and that is amazing it is open even for visiting artists, like me. And thanks for Arleen I also could take part in the fair.
I had not an exhibition before, so this fair can be called my first exhibittion too.
Judges give every participant different ribbons. Blue for the first place, red for second, yellow for third and white if your artwork does not give a place. And there can be sevsral winners and this is the difference of the fair from the competition. My paintings won three blue ribbons anf one red. Yeah! Unbelievable and nice! There are few photos from fair exhibition.
I will also show Arleen’s paintings. She represents a generation of fans of oil painting, but also showed her graphic work.
It is a fair directly uniting. I would never have thought that I could showcase my work at an exhibition in America, so I’m infinitely glad and grateful to Arleen for such a wonderful opportunity.
Therefore, in conclusion, I want to say, keep dreaming and believe in your art, because you never know what an opportunity your life will give you! And friendship makes the world closer!
